I finally figured out how to create new post lol
I am shopping for baby carrier, want to join the babe wearing trend hehe and also so i can move around the house when LO wont let me put him down for nap. I got a baby b'jorn at my baby shower, the regular one (not sure what the model is called lol but its not he uber expensive one), well i heard its not recommended for newborn's hips so i exchanged it to the Baby K'tan which i similar to the moby except its less hassle and read to wear no wrapping necessary. Well i loved it but LO not so much, especially the cradle hold, and after further consideration its just going to be too hot if we use it outdoors so we're back to square one and returned it.
So, any recommendation?

I really liked my Ergo, but when Kennedy got older she was always trying to turn around to see what was going on and it really put a strain on my back and hips. I just ordered a Beco Gemini carrier. It seems a lot like the Ergo but you can appropriately wear the baby facing out. There's a site, I believe it's called PAX baby carriers and you can even rent a carrier to try before purchasing. It was something I considered doing, but ended up going with the Beco on the recommendation from several people who have them.

I have the Ergo and love, love, love it! I used it since she was a newborn until she got too heavy for me to wear. However, like pp said, you're limited coz it doesn't allow front facing. When DD2 was more alert and wanted to see more of her surroundings, I just did the hip carry and never had any back problems.

Heard good things about the Ergo. Maya wrap is an AWESOME ringsling. I have been using my moby as a ringsling for a while and my girls love it. I wear them in a hip carry now that they are almost 1. You can use a ringsling with a cradle hold, but same rulles apply for checking baby's position in that hold (chin not touching chest, facing air, etc.) There is a local mom that makes ringslings, podegis, and her version of ergos. She has reasonable prices and customizable fabrics. www.bellaslings.com

No kiddo yet, but I will get a Maya wrap for newborn to 6 month-ish and then I registered for both an Ergo and a Beco to try out. I'm sure I won't get both, but once I get one, I'll un-register for the other, or I'll buy one used.

I got my Beco Gemini today and I tried it out with Kennedy. Aside from the fact that I'm 7 months pregnant and it was just uncomfortable having her on my stomach like that I'm in LOVE with it!
