I'm not crafty. H works all hours of the day and has little time.
I want to buy a used french provincial dresser and refinish it. Who can I pay to do this for us? Any suggestions? Any one here know how to do this?
I could have asked Domestic Jenny, but she just left for the army today.

How do you want to refinish it? It can't be much harder then removing existing paint, sanding, and re-painting/staining it. Add new hardware, if desired.

Okay, but I have seen H refinish the bench in the front of our house. So if he can to that, he can refinish a dresser, right?

To refinish yourself you want to sand down (completely is best, a light sanding/scuff will work) with fine sand paper. Use a brush to paint on an oil-based primer. Use a foam roller to apply latex (water-based) paint.
If you are looking for someone to pay, I can ask my mother. She had someone in Z-hills refinish a bunch of furniture and he did an amazing job. Even rebuilt a part of a pineapple bed that one of our dogs had chewed, you couldn't even tell.
